Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program

  • All employers with 50 or more full-time employees are required to offer commuter benefits.

 

Carpool

  • Scoop provides a carpooling service with guaranteed rides home, starting at $1 for drivers and $2 for riders.   

  • WazeCarpool provides a carpooling service where riders pay drivers $0.54 per mile. 

  • SF Casual Carpool matches riders and drivers heading over the Bay Bridge, westbound in the mornings and eastbound in the evenings. Route map of pickup locations available here

 

Bike, board, or scooter

 

Bus, shuttle, ferry, or train

  • AC Transit provides services throughout the county as well as Transbay Bus Lines that operate between the East Bay and San Francisco and the Peninsula, all with regular fares of $2.35. Full system map available here, and Transbay route map available here.

  • Bay Area Rapid Transit provides services throughout the Bay Area, with regular fares starting at $2.00. System map available here.

  • Capitol Corridor is an intercity passenger rail service between Auburn and San Jose, with regular fares starting at $6.00. Route map available here.

  • San Francisco Bay Ferry operates between San Francisco and the East Bay, with regular fares starting at $7.00. Route map available here.
